The CDC Recommends Testing for Hepatitis C if you:
1) Have ever injected street drugs, even once.
2) Have receive donated blood or organs before 1992.
3) Have been exposed to blood on the job through needle stick or injury with a sharp object.
4) Have abnormal liver tests or liver disease.
Who is at Risk for Hep C?
1) Recipients of blood products prior to 1992
2) Health and emergency care providers
3) Veterans, especially Vietnam veterans
4) Minorities
5) Homeless
6) Residents of impoverished areas worldwide
7) Prison inmates
8) IV drug abusers
